PACKAGING DESIGN – TECHNICAL AND LEGAL BASICS (workshop)

The workshop about packaging design illustrates technical, creative and legal basics concerning the packaged product. Topics like material diversity, construction and processing as well as labelling duties and patent are explained and discussed. Registration reqired: projekte@designaustria.at

Between May 23 and June 2 2013, the exhibition “Länder-Brücke – Design-Brücke“ will feature more than 50 spectacular objects, designed by 15 of the most active and most popular Rumanian product designers, at the gallery “Kunstbarkeiten“




UNPOLISHED – YOUNG DESIGN FROM POLAND (exhibition)

Duration: 24 May - 02 June 2013 | 12 – 7 pm

The exhibition “UNpolished – young Design from Poland“ is an attempt to find common ground for Polish design and to make the interesting works and accomplishments of young Polish designers accessible to the Austrian audience.




DESIGNFESTIVAL ASSEMBLY

The Schloßbergbühne Kasematten provides a classy frame for the designfestival assembly's opening fashion show (tickets available at Kastner & Öhler, Steiermärkische Sparkasse or via email: reservierung@assembly-festival.at)
The design exhibition with 70 national and international design statements opens at 22:00 in the Museum of Folk Culture. The award ceremony 'Trachten wir nach Neuem' runs simultaneously at the adjacent Antonius Church.

24 and 25 May | 10 am – 8 pm, 26. May | 11 am – 6 pm | Museum of Folk Culture

Assembly designfestival presents fashion- and product design from Austria and abroad for three days. The work of 70 labels are ready to be marvelled, tried on and of course bought. Take the time to visit the assembly sales exhibition at the Museum of Folk Culture. The results of the "Trachten wir nach Neuem" project where several designers looked into the subject of traditional garb are also on display.

In 2013 Kastner & Öhler awards one of the festival's designers with their fashion award for the 5th time. Attendance to the award show is limited, please book your seats at anmeldung@kastner-oehler.at. Reservations are binding.
